Given its "shabby chic" appeal, the Hollywood Premiere Motel was the perfect venue for last weeks launch of Mr. Porter's #MadeinCalifornia capsule range.
The online retailer staged a complete take over of the HP Motel, in Thai town LA, transforming the parking lot into a block party featuring LA's most eclectic group of rappers, stylists, artists, athletes and models.
Made In California celebrates a series of twelve exclusive capsule collections inspired by the West Coast and includes brands such as Amiri, Golden Bear, James Perse, Rick Owens, Simon Miller and Stussy.
Items from each range were hung from bedroom windows looking out onto the Motel's parking lot where local Hob Nobbers danced to tunage from Mike WiLL Made-It, then later impromptu performances from Ty Dolla Sign and Slim Jxmmi.
Each Motel room got a make over for the night too. One transformed into an arcade experience and another became a customization station curated by Lot, Stock and Barrel. Our fav had to be the pop up gift store, complete with fabulously kitschy ashtrays, lighters and stickers - all branded with the collections logo and colors.
You can shop the collection here and if brave enough, check-in to the motel here!
